While Alexander and his Best Man, Alex, hovered over me styling the flat lays of wedding details on the floor of the lower level at The Barn at Stoneybrooke, Alexander admitted, “It took me a full month after our engagement session to realize that you actually have other clients…that me and Krista aren’t the only people you take pictures of.” I thought that was interesting. I had never heard that perspective before.

Throughout the rest of the day I found out that he regularly reads my blog and I got the feeling that he maybe didn’t believe me anymore that I ADORE them like I wrote in their engagement session blog…he thinks I say that to EVERYONE.

Well, Alexander, this is my public statement that I while I DO love all of my clients, each and everyone of you are so very special to me. You all have your own personalities and perspectives that not only makes me enjoy getting to know, you ALL help ME become a better person.

ALL of the places you come from, careers you have, personalities you greet me with and ways you love me back, make it impossible not to adore each and every one of you.

For your wedding, you and Krista brought country chic to a whole new level. Krista is sweet and caring X1,000 and Alexander, you have the biggest heart paired with the most fun-loving side to your personality and you both treat people in such a way that it is absolutely impossible not to love you.

Alexander, the fact that you always want to be twirled, lifted, and dipped alongside Krista….and she’s willing to oblige AND strong enough to do the lifts (!!) ( also that your wedding party called you a Groomzilla all day in jest 🤣) and that you have so much LOVE for all of your people makes you unforgettable. You are also the only couple in my 6 years as a full time wedding photographer that has made me put down my camera to dance with you (sorry to all who witnessed that!) — YES you are SO SPECIAL TO ME!!!

Do I love all of my couples? — Yes.

Are you special? — YES!

Will I ever forget you? — NEVER!

I already can’t wait for your first family session. And, if you decide not to have human kids…I’m always down for adding the horses instead. Animals are family too!

On this wedding day we did end up with rain during the ceremony forcing us to make the call to move indoors but in our preparation for the coming weather, we moved the timeline around creating EXTRA portrait time in the morning. Then, since the rain lifted for all three portrait opportunities throughout the day — including sunset — we ended up with SO many gorgeous couple’s portraits. Perfection!

To the wedding party and all of the family and guests, thank you for your flexibility and dedication to Krista and Alexander on this amazing day. We all worked together to make it the day of their dreams even with the weather. It was so fun to meet you all!

Krista and Alexander, THANK YOU for choosing me to be the one to stand with you as you committed to loving each other for the rest of your lives. You two really are so very special and I TOTALLY adore you. I loved how you made this day your own. It was spectacular! I hope you love this little sample of photos from your best day ever.
