This quote comes to you directly from a comment on the first round of sneak peeks I posted from Stephanie and Jacob’s Fall The Barn at Stoneybrooke wedding on Saturday. This comment out of many many comments on the post stuck out in my mind because I had been thinking the same thing all day as I worked with them. The way Jacob looks at her….you can’t fake that. You can’t pose that. You can’t imitate it. It just is.

Their love is like that. It is something that has lasted the test of time. It’s lasted long distance. It’s lasted 8.5 years of dating and trust that this day would eventually come. If it’s true that relationships hit a slow period in the “7th year stretch” and on, I would have LOVED to see what they were like in the beginning!

Stephanie is a sweet darling of a girl with the sweetest giggle I can’t get enough of. The way she touches her chest when she cracks up, gets me every time. She obviously gets that from her full-loving parents.

Jacob is my details guy. He thinks of everything and meticulously packs and plans. For this level of attention to detail, one might assume that he might have a dry personality….well, let’s just say, he wore socks covered in Stephanie’s face on his wedding day to be sure to have her with him ALL day. When he showed me, I just about choked laughing.

Their day was kissed in golden sun and I think they brought the weather with them from North Carolina….it was swirled in late summer’s warm breezes and draped in sweet sunshine. It was the perfect day to celebrate their 8.5 years of love and commitment to forever together.

Stephanie and Jacob, it has been an honor to get to know you this past year. You two are so very special. You have a lovely balance in your relationship that is hard to find. You are so very kind and I LOVE your style! I’ll never get over your florals from Lavender and Lath, your super swishy dress with sleeves and Jacob’s bowtie! Enjoy every moment of your future together and keep laughing with your amazing friends and family! Have fun in Greece in the spring….and don’t forget your shoes! ;-)
